The only conferences that I have been to are music educators state conferences (in a couple of different states). These conferences tend to have it's on cultures which cause me to wonder what tech conferences are like. Having never have to one, this makes me a bit nervous. At the same time, I feel like I have something to share in the research I found in my Action Research which as on using social networking to communicate with parents to enhance and raise student achievement. I feel as if this is something that people are afraid of because of safety issues and appropriate use. Anyway, back to conferences… My wife went to the Georgia Educational Technology Conference this past November so when I saw it was one of the options of places to present, I thought I jumped at the possibility… in my mind at least, they have not started taking applications to present yet. Well, I look forward to making this presentation.
